MoveAxis Ltd (“MoveAxis”, “we”, “us”) operates moveaxis.co.uk and provides removals and transport services in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

When you ask for a quote or book a move

Your name, email address, phone number, the collection and delivery addresses, the items you list, access details (stairs, lifts, parking) and any notes you add. If a different person is meeting the driver at either end, whatever you tell us about them.

If you start a quote and do not finish it

We keep what you had already entered, including your contact details, so that we can follow up and offer to help. If you would rather we did not, email us and we will delete it.

When you use the website

If you accept analytics cookies, we record which steps of the quote process you reach, so we can see where the process is confusing. This record holds a random identifier created in your browser, the page path, the website you arrived from and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. It does not hold your name, email, phone number or IP address, and it cannot be traced back to you.

When you message us

The content of your message, and the contact details you give us so we can reply.

• To quote for and carry out your move — because we need it to give you a price and to perform the contract you asked for.
• To follow up on an unfinished quote — our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry someone started with us. You can object at any time and we will stop.
• To keep records of jobs, invoices and payments — to meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To understand how the website is used — with your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.

Only the people and services needed to run the job. Our drivers see the collection and delivery details for the move they are doing. We use suppliers who process data on our behalf under contract:

• Resend, to send email such as quotes and job updates.
• Mapbox, to calculate routes and distances from the addresses you enter.
• Stripe, if you pay online. We never see or store your full card details.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the data on servers in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

We also share information where the law requires it.

Records of completed jobs, invoices and payments are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. Quote requests that never became a job, and details left in an unfinished quote, are kept for twelve months and then deleted. Website analytics records are kept for twelve months.

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it, where we do not have to keep it by law;
• stop using it for follow-up or marketing;
• send it to you or another provider in a portable form.

Email support@moveaxis.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Necessary cookies keep the site working — they remember your quote while you fill it in and keep your session secure. These cannot be turned off.

Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them. They tell us which steps of the quote people reach, never who those people are. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the site, and declining does not limit anything you can do here.

If we change how we use personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
